1. The service
Checkfiled organizes customer-provided filing records, evidence, authority observations, and exceptions. It does not prepare or submit returns, make payments, determine tax liability, guarantee authority acceptance, or provide tax, accounting, or legal advice.
2. Customer responsibility
You remain responsible for accurate account information, filings, payments, deadlines, professional advice, and review of every result. You must confirm that each company, authority, tax account, form, and period is correct.
3. Accounts and authority access
You may use the service only for organizations and systems you are authorized to access. Do not send portal passwords, MFA codes, or unrelated sensitive information through support. During supervised discovery, you control login and MFA. You must promptly revoke access for departing users.
4. Evidence and availability
Uploads, manual notes, simulations, and authority-retrieved records have different evidentiary weight. The product labels those differences. Government sites and third-party systems can change, fail, restrict access, or provide incomplete information; an unavailable or stale connection is not continuous monitoring.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not access another customer’s data or probe the service for unauthorized access.
- Do not upload malware, unlawful material, or data you lack authority to process.
- Do not use automation against a government site in violation of applicable authorization or restrictions.
- Do not misrepresent a Checkfiled summary as an official filing receipt.
6. Fees, renewal, and cancellation
When paid service is active, Stripe presents the price, cadence, applicable tax, and renewal terms before purchase. Subscriptions renew for the selected cadence until canceled. Owners manage payment methods and cancellation through the billing page. Cancellation stops future renewal but does not erase retained evidence; export and deletion controls remain available subject to the stated process.
7. Suspension and termination
Access may be limited to protect customers, comply with law, address misuse or nonpayment, or respond to a security issue. The service will not present stale or failed monitoring as current merely because access is limited.
8. Service changes and warranty boundary
Supported authorities, integrations, and features can change. The service is provided subject to the plan and availability shown in the product. Any warranty disclaimer, liability allocation, governing law, dispute process, and business-specific provisions require legal review before these terms can be approved.
